This is my very first word art that I created in MDL4000 Media and Digital Literacy class! The words on the hands are words that describe what media literacy means to us. I chose the coloured students’ hands as part of the word art because it is now that we as future teachers need to be teaching students how to be good 21st century learners. It’s necessary to educate students on the following things: internet safety, independence, questioning, identity, privacy, adaptability, responsibility, creativity, and critical thinking. Learning about the importance of each of those words listed will help students be successful when navigating and exploring the digital world.
